Colorful, queer, provocative. "In Argentina, one woman is busting sexual taboos and outswaggering the men" (The Guardian). Chocolate Remix turns the old-fashioned content of reggae music on its head, beating it with humor and its own weapons. Sexy but never sexist, Chocolate Remix and her crew (with two congenial dancers, a drummer and her partner in crime, DJ and background singer "Mora Destroya") transform every festival, every club into a seething, hot party: power and empowerment - La Fiesta Es Nuestra! (The party is ours!). In 2017, she was voted one of the 100 most inspiring and innovative women in the world by the BBC. Her song 'Ni una menos' has since become an anthem for the women's movement in Argentina and beyond.

"My music is strongly influenced by reggaeton and other Latin American club sounds. I really like these genres. But the lyrics are often heteronormative and sexist; as a lesbian woman, I never felt represented in them. So I started making music myself. It started with a queer perspective, but over time my music also became more feminist and then anti-fascist. Just like the queer community here in Argentina. With the far-right president we now have, I couldn't and didn't want to avoid becoming political" (taz, 8. 3. 2026).

Chocolate Remix has already toured Europe nine times, including showcases at Womex and Reeperbahnfestival. She has played at: Appletree Garden Festival, Bardentreffen, CSD Munich, Ruhr International, Fusion Festival, Pangea Festival, Festival de la Cité Lausanne (CH), Festineuch (CH), Festimixx (CH), Antilliaansefeesten (BL), Shambala (UK), Urkult (SE) , Malmö Pride (SE).
