However, religious traditions are by no means uniform everywhere and in many places show a very distinct face, such as conservative Catholicism in Poland, grassroots communities in the Amazon, Pentecostal churches in the USA or Islam with its local traditions. Why do cultures shape religious expression so differently - and what does this mean for religions when diversity becomes a challenge?
