Vittoria is an ambitious young actress who hopes to play Juliet in a new production of "Romeo and Juliet" being prepared by the equally famous and arrogant director Landi Porrini. But she is brusquely rejected by the master at the audition. She has a spontaneous idea: she disguises herself as a man and applies for the role of Romeo. Unexpectedly, the director is enthusiastic about the unusual Romeo and gives "him" the role. Vittoria continues her play, but complications are not long in coming... An intelligent and turbulent comedy about identity, gender roles and the fascinating world of the theater, where appearance and reality become blurred anyway. Pilar Fogliati, who also worked on the screenplay, and Sergio Castellitto deliver a top-class acting duel.
