The concert "Classic meets Jazz" embarks on an exciting musical journey of discovery between two seemingly opposing worlds. Since the beginnings of jazz, classical music has always been both a source of inspiration and an antithesis. The program sheds light on this creative tension and shows the diverse connections between classical form and jazzy freedom.

At the center of the evening is the internationally renowned US arranger, composer and saxophonist Jack Cooper, who has been appreciated for his work at the interface of classical music and jazz for over three decades. His music combines complex structures with rhythmic energy and colorful harmonies.

Together with a top-class ensemble, he creates a multi-faceted sound that allows the familiar to be heard anew and opens up space for improvisation, dialog and musical surprises.
