I’ve NEVER DONE COMEDY or am NEW TO COMEDY—is this for me?
Yes! We’ll cover the basics and go into detail for those with more experience.
If you’re a beginner stand-up comedian, this course is for you! Or if you simply want new skills that apply to any public speaking role—whether leading workshops at work or just feeling more comfortable at parties—this is for you!
Student Reviews!
"If you find yourself watching skilled crowd workers and hosts, wondering what it takes to be one—because I want to be one—this class is for you."
"The course was excellent. Tera created a warm, supportive atmosphere while throwing you into the deep end. She herself is a remarkably humble teacher... talented but makes it look so effortless. Very happy with the course."
"It’s great for bringing out what you have inside and building confidence."
"Tera provides valuable tips, addresses fundamental questions, and guides you through the process of breaking the ice with crowd work."
"If you want to get closer to your authentic host self: sign up for this class."
"It was also a great space to share questions about situations that can arise or have arisen while doing crowd work or while performing in general—both good and bad—and it was very useful to get the perspective of a professional like Tera, who has so much experience."

*Students who perform in English, German, Russian, and Spanish—all found the course useful!*
I’M ALREADY HOSTING—Will I learn anything?
Yes! Tera has 25 years of stage experience and a bachelor’s degree in performance. Her first paid stage gig was in 2001. Even with all that experience, as recently as 2018, Tera took a 3-week improvisation course with a European master improviser and attended writing workshops. Being a good improviser doesn’t just “happen” naturally—it’s a skill! Like any skill, you have to practice it!
WHEN is it?
Sunday, August 16, 12 p.m.–6 p.m.
What if I have to leave early or arrive a little late?
Yes, that’s fine! We’ve scheduled enough time so that you can miss a bit and still get a lot out of the course.
HOW much does it COST?
The cost of the workshop will be
- 125€ (Regular)
- 90€ (discounted for students, the unemployed, etc.)
NOTE: There is a 5€ "Book My Spot" fee to secure your spot! You pay the balance after signing up. This amount is deducted from the total fee—it is NOT an extra fee.
