Arriba - We celebrate the new album by Cosmonautix. After the great success of their debut album Energija (2011), the Berlin collective toured many countries in Western and Eastern Europe and even Mexico and are now finally on stage at SO36 - with new songs in their luggage.

The songs of Ukrainian Cossacks, Jewish gangsters from Odessa or Italian partisans leave no dancing leg unmoved and celebrate the cultural diversity of our planet.

Their songs tell of a broken wedding or old rusty flying machines longing for one last flight - accompanied by the sounds of the balalaika. The wild combination of Eastern European folklore, Balkan melodies enriched with the rhythms of ska, cumbia, klezmer and rock'n'roll unites people on the dancefloor. Cosmonautix call it "Rocket Balalaika Speedfolk". We call it the cultural counter-attack to the Russian war of aggression!
