New York, 1937: Cynthia is a model, It girl and celebrated celebrity. She graces the cover of "Life Magazine", has a fan club and is followed by paparazzi. But at the end of each day, she is dismantled into individual parts and stowed away in black silk bags - because Cynthia is a mannequin. Her creator Lester Gaba, embodied by drag king Alexander Cameltoe, brings her to life and accompanies her through the glamorous world of 1930s New York. A dazzling, fever dream-like show between entertaining spectacle and the curiosity of the uncanny.
