The money is on the windowsill, Marie have been delighting audiences with their own form of cabaret for 10 years. When the real-life fictional lovers are not chatting away in an entertaining and virtuoso manner, they perform songs and poems that juggle language. They manage the balancing act between comedy and socio-critical profundity with astonishing ease.
Friedolin Müller and Wiebke Eymess are "fantastic musicians, hilarious comedians and situation comedians, linguistic acrobats and multi-discussionists and together they perform a wonderful parody of today's young academic couple. Loriot in the 21st century." (Passauer NP)
In their anniversary program Nummernschieben, the duo performs all their favourite pieces. Plus never-performed texts and songs from the poison cabinet. At least in theory. Because the two don't agree on the choice of numbers. But the program has to be finished so that their children have something to eat.
So they let their fans vote on their favorite songs. They don't agree either. It doesn't help: the two from the windowsill have to push numbers!
And at the end of the evening, everyone will once again ask themselves: Was that rehearsed or improvised?
Private or political? Is that art - or do they mean me?
