In recent years, the SchUM cities of Worms, Speyer and Mainz and the medieval Jewish cultural heritage in Erfurt have successfully applied to UNESCO. An application is also being prepared for Cologne, which focuses on the Jewish medieval quarter in Cologne in its entirety, authenticity and preservation.

The lecture and subsequent discussion will be repeated at 18:30.
