Das Revier debattiert: „Wenn KI mitarbeitet – wie gestalten wir Zusammenarbeit neu?“

In the organizer's words:

When AI collaborates - How do we reshape collaboration?" The debating event of the Open Academy of the Science Cube, the competence center for science communication in Central Germany, is dedicated to this question with keynote speeches, an innovative debate box and moderated one-to-one discussions between people with different perspectives.

Artificial intelligence is transforming our society like no other topic. But what does this mean for our working world? Which artificial intelligence (AI) mechanisms do we first need to understand before we can integrate them into our lives in a meaningful way? How can AI create real added value in medicine? How do we deal with it in a psychologically responsible way when AI is an integral part of our everyday working lives?

The Leipzig edition of the dialog series "Reviervorlesung", which takes place in the Paulinum, is dedicated to these questions.

The series kicks off with three short scientific impulses:

  • Prof. Dr. Hannes Zacher, Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the Wilhelm Wundt Institute of Psychology at Leipzig University, will shed light on our collaboration with AI from a psychological perspective.
  • Miriam Louise Carnot from the Data Science Center ScaDS.AI Leipzig will provide insights into the analytical foundations and potential of artificial intelligence.
  • Tobias Pabst, Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery (ICCAS) Leipzig, will show how integrative technologies and intelligent assistance systems are shaping the medicine of today and tomorrow.

Afterwards, the participants will enter into a discussion together. With the help of science2public's interactive debate box and ZEIT's matching method, people with different opinions will engage in a playful discussion - controversial, respectful and at eye level. The aim is not to win, but to get to know new perspectives and discuss the future of Central Germany together.

The event is organized by the Science Cube, the competence center for science communication in Central Germany, the association science2public - Gesellschaft für Wissenschaftskommunikation e. V. in cooperation with My Country Talks (developed by the ZEIT publishing group) and the University of Leipzig.

All interested citizens are welcome. You do not need any previous knowledge. Free admission.
