The animal in you! Guided tour for children on the evolutionary path
All life on earth is related to each other. You are also related to all other living creatures, because you are the current living end of an unbroken chain of life that is 4 billion years old. You can find out how much time that is on our evolutionary path in the Nordpark!
Our earth is created at the beginning of the evolutionary path. At the end of the path you are in the world of today. Every millimeter of the path corresponds to 10,000 years - that is roughly the time that has passed since humans have lived together in villages. With every meter, i.e. with every big step you take, you cover 10 million years. Feel with every step how much time it took for life on earth to develop.
Your ancestors were monkeys 4 million years ago, mice 200 million years ago, reptiles 300 million years ago, amphibians 400 million years ago, fish 500 million years ago, sponges 600 million years ago and unicellular organisms a billion years ago. Before that, your ancestors were bacteria for 3 billion years. Together we walk through the deep time of the development of life on earth and meet all our relatives.

A guided tour for children and families aged 7 to 100 years
The meeting point is the first evolution sign, to the left of the main entrance to the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum. Registration is not required.

Shield sponsorship
Our association awards a sign sponsorship for each of the signs. It costs € 450 for three years. The money is used to guarantee the care and maintenance of the path. The sponsors have 10 x 10 cm on "their" sign at their disposal. They can add their company logo or their own motto.
