Das wird man ja noch singen dürfen! – Rechter Kulturkampf auf Leipziger Bühnen – Podiumsdiskussion mit Lena Stoehrfaktor, Dr. Thorsten Hindrichs, Inga von Kapa Tult, u.a.
In the organizer's words:
The right-wing culture war is in full swing. We are concerned to see that openly right-wing music events and so-called "gray zone" concerts are also on the rise in Leipzig's cultural scene.
Problematic (major) events take place on a regular basis. Frei.Wild and Xavier Naidoo have already played in 2026 alone, Böhse Onkelz and Weimar have been announced. Till Lindemann is planning a mini-festival at the Völkerschlachtdenkmal. The WGT line-up once again included artists who glorify National Socialism or have other connections to the extreme right. There were also neo-Nazi black metal, right-wing neofolk and Oi concerts. All in venues that cannot be classified as clearly extreme right-wing, but whose doors are apparently open to the scene.
Even though the discussion about this has been going on in Leipzig for decades, we are still missing a current debate about the extent to which extreme right-wing positions and people have already arrived in the musical mainstream. We ask ourselves whether classic right-wing rock concerts are still needed at all when (extreme) right-wing ideology has long been communicated via other events.
How does the shift to the right on stage come about and what responsibility do organizers, artists and fans bear? What are possible counter-strategies at a time when thousands of people go to concerts to see Weimar, Rammstein, Naidoo and co.
We want to talk and discuss all of this and are all the more pleased that we were able to win the following people for a panel discussion:
Lena Stoehrfaktor (rapper)
Dr. Thorsten Hindrichs (musicologist and legal rock expert)
Inga from Kapa Tult
and others
The podium is a cooperative event of the Ladenschlussbündnis together with WERK 2 and Naturfreundejugend.
Exclusion clause: The organizers reserve the right to make use of their domiciliary rights and to deny entry to or exclude from the event persons who belong to extreme right-wing parties and/or organizations, belong to the extreme right-wing scene or have already made racist, nationalist, anti-Semitic, conspiracy ideological or other inhuman statements in the past.
