David Werker: Plötzlich seriös?!

Everyone knows the saying, "You grow up first!" Also David Werker, Germany's former permanent student number 1 and winner of the German Comedy Award as best newcomer.
Wearing a red track jacket, David spent his youthful years under the motto: "The late worm outlives the early bird." Now he finds out: he likes red wine! Even if he leaves out the cola for mixing. Well, he must have grown up overnight. But also serious?

Most of us - like David - are currently in the difficult transitional age between 30 and 90. And every day we ask ourselves such meaningful questions as: Do I really have to do this? How does it even work? And what actually happens before you fall asleep, when suddenly all the corners of the fitted sheet flutter loose at the same time? David Werker won the Quatsch Comedy Club talent show in 2007 and took off. He could be heard daily on 1LIVE with "Werkerpedia," his solo program "Morgens 15:30 Uhr in Deutschland" was broadcast on RTL, the accompanying book was published by Langenscheid-Verlag, and he was awarded the German Comedy Prize in the "Best Newcomer" category in 2012. He became known as Germany's No. 1 permanent student, his status symbol: the red Adidas training jacket.
Now David has finished his German studies and is back on the comedy stages of the Republic: grown up and funnier than ever. Modern stand-up comedy without frills.
