August 2021: With the withdrawal of international troops, the Taliban take power in Afghanistan and impose Sharia law. Women who previously stood for education and progress suddenly find their lives in danger. Four of them - a judge, a policewoman, a singer and a cyclist - try to flee or go into hiding. With the help of a foreign journalist, an improvised rescue network is formed that tries to save lives while the world watches - or withdraws.
