Benji falls in love with the charismatic soccer coach Jake. What starts out as exciting and passionate gradually turns into a burdensome relationship full of codependency, secrets, and unspoken expectations. As Benji gets drawn deeper and deeper into this dynamic, he must learn to rediscover his own boundaries and self-worth.
“Departures” is an intense drama about desire, emotional dependence, and the painful realization that not every great love is a good love.
