In “Free at Heart,” 16-year-old Sebastian’s sheltered small-town life is turned upside down when Kolja, who is the same age, suddenly becomes part of his family. A bond develops between the two that challenges all the rules and brings long-hidden feelings to light. An intense coming-of-age drama about love, family, and social boundaries.
A special highlight: Director Max Hegewald will be a guest at the “die flora” cultural space that evening and will speak afterward about his courageous debut film.
