Der kleine Muck
In the organizer's words:
A fairy tale loosely based on a story by Wilhelm Hauff
A fantastical story about tolerance, self-confidence, and the fact that we all have hidden talents.
“In the city of Nicaea lived a little man with a big head. Everyone called him Little Muck.” Thus begins Wilhelm Hauff’s famous fairy tale about Little Muck, who is mocked by everyone because he looked different from the others. Leaving home, the quite shrewd Muck enters the service of a sorceress and finds, with her, magical slippers that allow him to move from place to place in the blink of an eye. A mysterious walking stick, which also falls into Muck’s hands, brings its owner great wealth. On his long journey, Little Muck reaches the realm of the mighty sultan, whose daughter he falls in love with. But the cunning sultan puts Muck to the test.
