Der Räuber Hotzenplotz (6+)

Kasperl and Seppel give their grandmother a new coffee grinder for her birthday. When she grinds coffee, it plays her favorite song. But their joy is short-lived when the grinder is stolen in broad daylight by the dreaded robber Hotzenplotz. Kasperl and Seppel set out to find the thief. To outwit the robber, they swap hats and build a box that looks as if it’s full of gold. But the robber Hotzenplotz sees through their plan and captures the two of them. He wants to make Seppel—whom he mistakes for Kasperl because of his cap—work for him. Kasperl, whom he thinks is Seppel, is sold by him to his friend, the great wizard Petrosilius Zwackelmann, as a servant in exchange for a sack of snuff. There, Kasperl discovers the captive fairy Amaryllis, who must be freed so that everything can turn out well again.
