"Die Abenteuerreiter - Durch den wilden Westen der USA" - Reise-Reportage

Günter Wamser traveled an incredible 30 years and around 40,000 km on horseback between Tierra del Fuego and Alaska, half of it together with Sonja Endlweber. Before the adventure riders close the chapter on America for good, they want to realize one last big dream and ride with their four mustangs and dog Charlie through the Wild West of the USA. They cover 5,000 km in the saddle on unknown paths and legendary trails such as the Pacific Crest Trail and Arizona Trail to the East Coast. Along the way, they encounter trail magic and trail angels. They cross endless forests, breathtaking mountain landscapes and barren deserts. They have delightful encounters with wild animals and experience natural wonders such as the Grand Canyon up close - but also water shortages and forest fires. The days are often exhausting, but never boring! A painful and beautiful farewell for the two riding legends before they start a new life in Europe with their best friends, the four mustangs and Charlie.
