Die Ältern

The days when readers couldn't get enough of Hannes (Sebastian Bezzel) and literally tore the books out of his hands are already a few years in the past. But other things in life seem to be enough for the writer. He sees himself fulfilled by his own little house, his wife Sara (Anna Schudt) and their children Carla (Kya-Celina Barucki) and Nick (Philip Müller). From Hannes' perspective, everything is actually running smoothly. But if you ask his family, you don't just get exuberantly positive answers. Sometimes they would just like a little less intrusive care. And nobody needs precocious comments from the sidelines either. But these are not yet reasons for a crisis. They are yet to come - namely when Hannes' series of novels is finally taken out of the program by the publisher, Sara demands a break from the relationship, Nick's prospects at school become increasingly bleak and Carla wants to move out. Hannes, however, seems to be stuck in old patterns. But then he meets Vanessa (Judith Bohle), who seems to set things in motion for him...
