There's a lot going on in Queen Helene VIII's beehive: under the supervision of teacher Ms. Kassandra, a young queen bee is born! Her name is Maja, and it soon becomes clear that the daily routine of collecting honey is too boring for her. So everything is done to prevent her from doing anything stupid on her first forays into the world.

But that is exactly what happens: Maja meets so many exciting insects that she ends up wandering too far from her home hive and can't find her way back.

And there are not only nice guys like the grasshopper, the dragonfly Schnuck, the dung beetle Kurt and the housefly Puck - there is also the spider Thekla, in whose web Maja gets caught and who almost serves her as her main meal. And there are the hornets who want to raid Queen Helene's bee city ... But Maja can always count on the support of the children in the audience to ensure that this adventure ends well!

Who doesn't know her, the cheeky little bee Maja, who doesn't want to just collect honey, but would rather get to know the world? The little bee lady has become extremely popular, especially through television, but she also caused a sensation in Weyhe back in 2003. Frank Pinkus wrote a musical version, which was completed with specially written music by Ulla Meinecke and Purple Schulz. Now it's time for a reunion - in a new production!
