Captivating melodies and sparkling wit invite you to share in the excitement with chanteuse Sylva Varescu and the prince’s son Edwin Lippert-Weylersheim as trials and tribulations put their love to the test.

Director Franziska Reng and Musical Director Andreas P. Heinzmann create a vibrant production that draws the audience close to the characters and reveals their inner worlds of longing, passion, and conflict.

About the Work
Premiered in 1915 in the midst of World War I,“The Csárdás Princess” tells the story of the Hungarian vaudeville singer Sylva Varescu, who wants to forge her own path. Love, intrigue, and social constraints shape the plot, yet behind the rousing music lie universal themes: self-determination, courage, and the awareness that everything is fleeting—and that it is all the more worth living in the moment.
