Die Katze Eleonore
In the organizer's words:
By Caren Jeß. Directed by S. Rudat
How radical do we have to be to be ourselves? Real estate agent Eleonore discovers that she is actually a cat. She has a fur catsuit tailored for herself and begins a transformation. Her senses expand—except for her sense of community. Eleonore’s consistently pursued individual way of life becomes a litmus test for civil society norms.
The performance is accessible to people who are hard of hearing or deaf. Subtitles and audio support are provided.
Recommended for ages 16 and up.
Nominated for the 2026 Cologne Theater Award
Part of the program for the
physical FETZ
The festival organized by the Physical Theater Network NRW (PTN) is coming to Dortmund. Alongside other venues in the region, the Theater im Depot serves as a performance and gathering space for the physical theater scene in the Ruhr region during this edition. Since 2018, Physical FETZ has been a pioneering platform for the steadily rising quality of this theatrical form.
This year’s edition focuses on breaking down barriers. In addition to productions dedicated to this theme, workshops will be offered where artists and interested participants can explore inclusive storytelling techniques.
