Dronetale
In the organizer's words:
A science fiction fable about insects, drones, and other fairies of the Ruhr region by sticky fragments
DRONETALE —a science fiction fable of postindustrial ecosystems teeming with shimmering butterflies, drones, and evening primroses. A world where glitching bugs, dragonflies, and other fairies encounter one another on slumbering, green slag heaps.
Through collective storytelling and creative exploration, DRONETALE envisions poetic visions of a harmonious coexistence between humans, nature, and technology—narrated by three performers and a drone.
DRONETALE —a transdisciplinary physical theater project that combines digital arts, electronic music, and the natural sciences.
The piece is aimed at a cross-generational audience aged fourteen and older.
Through the practice of the Aesthetics of Access—where accessibility is integrated into the artistic production from the very beginning with artistic integrity—DRONETALE aims to be equally accessible to blind, visually impaired, and sighted audiences. To this end, we are collaboratively developing a creative, integrated audio description and creating a multisensory, virtually enhanced stage space.
