Gender-based violence against women is omnipresent - in Germany, in France, worldwide. Feminist debates reflect diverse trends that open up different perspectives on the body, power and social participation. Christina Clemm, a lawyer specializing in criminal and family law, uses real cases to describe how systematically women experience violence - and how often the rule of law lets them down. Based on the work of Simone de Beauvoir, French philosopher Camille Froidevaux-Metterie (including "La révolution du féminin") explores the female body as a place of violence and shame, but also as a source of resistance and emancipation. She thus creates the philosophical basis for a new self-image of the female body. Translated by: Norbert Heikamp, moderated by: Annabelle Hirsch
