A terminally ill person, focused on coming to terms with his own mortality, goes through stages of fear, repression and longing before a stranger offers him support. In return, a quid pro quo is expected and negotiated, which presupposes a crossing of tabooed boundaries. This creates mental freedom and room for maneuver, leading to an unpredictable finale.
Based on research material, the participants of movingtheatre Cologne relate subjective, human experiences in dealing with topics such as crisis, old age, mortality and euthanasia to social models and religious mythology in a scenic collage. In painful border areas of the tolerated, a search for understanding, dignity and respect begins.
