Dirk Steffens is a TV author, presenter and documentary filmmaker. He has been telling people about the wonders of this earth for three decades now. TV programs from the ZDF series "Terra X" have made him famous. Steffens has been an expert for "GEO" since April 2022 and has been in front of and behind the camera for the RTL media group since January 2023. He reaches an audience of millions with his podcast "Kettenreaktion" and his bestselling books. On November 12, 2025, his new book of the same name, Hoffnungslos optimistisch.
