DON GIOVANNI – Ein Film von Kolorblind

In the spring of 2025, the Komische Oper am Rhein staged a free adaptation of Mozart’s Don Giovanni—at two very different venues: the Düsseldorf Central Library and the legendary Ratinger Hof. The chorus consisted of ten teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18, with no prior stage experience. Kolorblind documented the entire process, from the first rehearsals to the premiere. The camera captured up close what was happening among the participants: the friction, the doubts, the discussions, and the turning points. The result is a documentary about the impact an opera in the making has on the people who create it. Admission: 15 euros. Tickets available at: www.komischeoperamrhein.de
