Dr. Pop Hitverdächtig - Die Musik-Comedy-Stand-up-Show!

Can you seriously get a doctorate in pop music? Yes! And what do you do with it then? Comedy and cabaret. Dr. Pop is a doctor of music. He practices on the radio, TV, online, and on stage. In his live show “Hitverdächtig,” he prescribes music samples and curious—but completely true—music facts. Did you know that termites eat through wood twice as fast when they listen to heavy metal? Or that there’s a “Barry White effect” in evolutionary theory? The deeper a male’s voice, the better his chances of mating. This applies to both humans and koala bears.

In “Hitverdächtig,” you’ll hear music that can save a party, a relationship, or your motivation to work out—or even clean the house. Whether it’s pop, rock, classical, Schlager, jazz, hip-hop, or rap: Dr. Pop fires off familiar—and unfamiliar—samples from music history. And by the end of the show, everyone in the audience knows how to enrich their own lives with music just a little bit more.

The program is constantly updated with current songs and new scientific studies; every evening is different—only the song titles and the host remain the same.
