Workshop: Pottery Wheel Class for Beginners and Advanced Students

In this course, you’ll go through all the steps of making ceramics on the potter’s wheel. By the end, you’ll have created several small or medium-sized ceramic pieces decorated with colored glaze. 

Learn the basic techniques of throwing on the potter’s wheel! During the first two class sessions, artist Naomi Akimoto will guide you step by step through the fundamental techniques of throwing. As the course progresses, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your skills on the potter’s wheel and create your very first ceramic piece.
Registration is available exclusively at the museum ticket office and requires advance payment. The course is open to adults and teenagers ages 15 and older.
