Düsseldorf Jazz Trio feat. Sabine Kühlich

Ella, Sarah, Anita, Nat, Mel, Betty, Blossom, Sheila, Kurt, Frank, Carmen, Caterina ... They all became famous through the Great American Songbook - and they all shaped swing. Sabine Kühlich and the Düsseldorf Jazz Trio dedicate a rousing evening to precisely these voices and their stories and characteristics.

Jazz singer and saxophonist Sabine Kühlich is one of the most distinctive voices on the European jazz scene. She has released ten albums to date and has made a name for herself internationally - from New York to Amsterdam. Jazz legend Barry Harris praised her "perfect timing", singer Patty Austin her "exceptional feeling for jazz and scat singing". In addition to her work as a singer, she composes, plays saxophone and tours from Europe to South East Asia via Brazil to New York.

The fantastically swinging Düsseldorf Jazz Trio consists of Walfried Böcker (b), Martin Sasse (p) and Christian Schröder (dr). It is a mainstay of Maxhaus Jazz and performs four times a year with changing featuring guests. The trio always knows how to put their guest soloists in the limelight with their creative playing.
