Experiment with plant dyes, prints, and urban nature

In this two-day workshop, you’ll discover the city as a color laboratory: Using plants that grow between buildings, on paths, and along roadsides, you’ll make your own plant-based ink and experiment with eco-printing on textiles and paper.

Using leaves, flowers, and other found objects, you’ll transfer shapes, colors, and patterns directly onto fabric and paper. This creates unique patterns, natural prints, and new favorite pieces from discarded white textiles.

A creative workshop for anyone who wants to combine urban nature, craftsmanship, and sustainable design.

What to expect

• Exploring and collecting dye plants in the urban environment
• Making plant-based ink for writing and drawing
• Introduction to eco-printing on textiles and paper
• Experimenting with leaves, flowers, colors, and prints
• Designing your own patterns and unique pieces
• Insights into local resources, plant dyes, and sustainable textile use

Good to know

• The workshop will be held on two dates
• No prior experience required
• Materials and basic supplies will be provided
• Feel free to bring your own light-colored natural fabrics
• Please wear clothing that can get stained
• The workshop will take place with a minimum of 6 participants.
