After 15 years of marriage, Angela (Olivia Wilde) and Joe (Seth Rogen) are going through a rough patch. It’s been a long time since they’ve had dinner together with other couples. When Angela spontaneously invites the neighbors from the apartment above them over, it becomes clear that Pina (Penélope Cruz) and Hawk (Edward Norton) are much more friendly toward them than their distant encounters in the elevator had previously suggested. What was meant to be a convivial evening of small talk about cheese, wine, and interior design turns into a wild roller-coaster ride of emotions. Who’s playing whom here, and who will end up losing control?
