It's hard to categorize ericdoa 's music. His 2021 single "fantasize" painted a musical picture between hyperpop and modern off-pop, while tracks like "kickstand" stand out with emo-rap and trap influences. His song "sad4whattt" became part of the HBO Original Series "Euphoria" in 2023, revealing modern pop-punk influences over the artist's hyperpop sound. Shortly after, the track ">one (greater than one)" was released, which became part of the Riot Games shooter "VALORANT" and has become the artist's most successful single since a performance at the VCT Championships at the sold-out Kia Forum with 18,000 spectators (and 500,000 viewers online). After two headline tours of his own, ericdoa has long been part of a generation of artists who are setting their own rules for modern pop music, going viral with frequency and achieving worldwide success. Recently, ericdoa wrote his new EP "why suffer for us?" during a 321-hour livestream, welcoming guests such as The Kid Laroi, D4vd and Zane Lowe. In February 2025, the 22-year-old musician will also be coming to Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg on his europe tour 2025.

Eric George Lopez received his first guitar from his grandfather, after which he recorded his own music and released it on SoundCloud under the name Dante Red. After the release of the EP "DOA" and the mixtape "Public Target" under his new artist name ericdoa, the debut album "COA" was also initially released as a self-release in 2020 before Interscope signed the artist and reissued the album. Together with glaive, ericdoa released several singles as well as the punk-influenced collabo EP "then i'll be happy" (2021). In 2022, he released his second album "things with wings", which revealed many facets between indie rock and pop-punk influences ("cheap liquor") and emotional pop ballads ("fool4love"). In January 2024 , ericdoa released his latest album "DOA", which complements this sound with contemporary pop with funk influences ("dancinwithsomebawdy"), but also takes the singer back to his early trap and hip-hop roots ("kickstand" & "lastjune"). The current EP "why suffer for us?" was released on November 29, 2024.
