OPENING

BOHEI 2025 starts - direct, loud and with attitude. No preliminaries, no warm-up: The festival opening brings to the stage what the next four days will be all about. The young people of the COMEDIA theater youth advisory board imp:act take over the microphone: they lead through the evening, invite acts onto the stage and give the starting signal for four days of theater, performances, workshops and political art.

This evening will include artistic contributions from young acts who will show what moves them - wild, poetic, direct. Actress Annette Frier will be a guest patron, and the Imhoff Foundation and Sparkasse KölnBonn, without whom this festival would not be possible, will also be celebrating.

The motto of BOHEI 2025 is "Out of control " - and that is exactly what the program is: we are throwing old structures overboard, questioning who decides - and who else needs to be heard. The opening gives a foretaste of a festival that doesn't adapt, but breaks free. Come along - admission is free!
