At the Allerweltshaus in Cologne, there are many people with interesting stories to tell. At the storytelling café, they come together to share stories, listen, and strike up conversations in a cozy atmosphere. Anyone who wants to share their experiences, thoughts, and questions—on topics that concern us all—is welcome

➡️From a special education school focused on learning to a college graduate

This time, Kevin Kader shares his personal educational journey: from a special education school, through the vocational high school diploma, to studying media informatics and his current master’s program. 

He’ll talk about setbacks and the decisions that brought him closer to his goal, step by step. With his brochure “Das schöne Schicksal” (The Beautiful Fate), he aims to inspire others and show that your initial educational path doesn’t have to determine your future.

This event takes place on the ground floor.

• Access to the ground floor: The ground floor is accessible via ramps. However, these do not fully comply with accessibility standards (regarding slope, width, or clear space) and are therefore not suitable for all types of wheelchairs (especially heavy electric wheelchairs or manual wheelchairs without an attendant).

• Restroom facilities: The restrooms in the building are currently not accessible. They lack the necessary maneuvering space, turning radii, and appropriately installed support and grab bars.

• Upper Floors: The upper floors are accessible only by stairs. There is no elevator. For people who require step-free access, these areas are currently inaccessible.

• Future Plans and Custom Solutions: A barrier-free renovation as part of a building refurbishment is currently being planned. Until construction is complete, we ask that you contact us in advance. Together, we will assess on a case-by-case basis what opportunities for participation and use we can provide.
