674FM + Adventures in the Neighborhood present:
ESCAPE-ISM (Ian Svenonius and Sandi Denton, USA)
Minimal rock'n'roll duo from Washington, DC, perhaps the last real R'n'R band on the pulse of time led by Ian F. Svenonius with voice, beat machine and electric guitar and Sandi Denton on electric bass, vocals and keyboard. ESCAPE-ISM is the sonic manifesto of a new underground that sets itself apart from the boring drone of the complacent indie rock corporate machine with its carefree impudence. ESCAPE-ISM stands for obscure innovation, uncouth refusal to conform and somehow also for poetry. In any case, never boring and, according to their own statement, "our last hope to destroy civilization". Long live minimal rock 'n' roll!"
Ian F. Svenonius is an author, filmmaker and musician who was active in numerous groundbreaking bands from Washington, D.C., such as NATION OF ULYSSES, THE MAKE-UP, WEIRD WAR and CHAIN & THE GANG, before going independent with ESCAPE-ISM in 2016. He will be joined on tour by Sandi Denton: the Californian bassist and keyboardist otherwise plays in the shoegaze band TASHAKI MIYAKI.
ESCAPE-ISM -known as the "found sound dream drama"- is a group specializing in "minimal rock 'n' roll" led by Ian F Svenonius on voice, beat machine, and electric guitar & featuring Sandi Denton on electric bass guitar, voice, & keyboard.

Raw Power!
Hold down the hardest button and play Rock'n'Roll Animal until Anarchy is back in the UK.
Mark Spark solves this in a primitive way.
Vocals, guitar and an annoying organ are enough for the right groove.
Can get loud.
