European Music Collective – live

The European Music Collective presents its twelve-member ensemble. Under the direction of Düsseldorf-based musician Christoph Götzen, the ensemble will perform new compositions by Asja Kadic and Ethan Blackburn, as well as free improvisations at the intersection of contemporary music, avant-garde, and free jazz.

The European Music Collective is an association of musicians whose lives and creative work are centered in Europe. Its goal is to create a platform and community for improvised music that brings together diverse national and cultural identities in a collective, cross-border spirit.

In addition to concerts, residencies, and studio productions, the collective also organizes educational events with the goal of bringing contemporary improvisation into the mainstream and making it accessible to a broader audience.
