Femi Luna | Wash My Pain Away - Tour

Good for us, because the Swiss singer-songwriter is also making a tour stop with her new album and her band at the scheune Dresden, in the heart of Dresden's Neustadt district.
The creative center for "Wash My Pain Away", Femi Luna's second studio album, was the Studio Cimetière in a stone church - a secluded place in the Canadian pampas. Obviously, the natural reverberation of the former church characterizes the sound; but Femi Luna also plays with silence, rhythm and targeted gaps in her songwriting, so that words and sounds find their own space. Thematically, the songs move between loss, longing and self-reflection, but are carried by warm timbres and careful instrumentation, making it all too easy to immerse yourself in Femi Luna's emotional world while listening.
"Wash My Pain Away" is an album that initially impresses with its spaciousness, but whose strongest effect unfolds in the close, quiet and fleeting moments.
Femi Luna has already played support shows for renowned acts such as Alice Phoebe Lou, Black Sea Dahu, The Slow Show and Benjamin Amaru. This year she is on her first headlining tour.
