Come to FILMEST HAMBURG and travel to Quebec in the 1980s

Ten-year-old Hélène, who calls herself Jo, like her favorite heroine, has three sisters, a strict mother and an unhappy father. She cleverly observes the adults and finds a friend in the gruff but lovable old neighbor Roger. With a lot of imagination, courage and under pressure to grow up quickly, Jo sets out to save her father from his sadness and bring happiness back to her family.

PATRICE SAUVÉ (*1966 in Canada) is a director and screenwriter. His best-known works are the French-Canadian television series La Vie, La Vie and Les Rescapés.
