Filmnachmittag: Hausnummer Null

In the organizer's words:

Followed by a discussion with director Lilith Kugler. Chris and/or Alex will also be present.

Chris lives with his buddy Alex at Friedenau S-Bahn station. In another life, he might have become a laboratory technician, but instead his life is dominated by drug addiction and homelessness. After an overdose, he ends up in hospital and finds new strength for change at this low point. Chris decides that he has to get off the streets and off heroin. He begins a withdrawal followed by a drug substitution program. With the prospect of a single room in a sheltered housing facility, he finds new hope. After six years on the streets, he still faces unprecedented challenges: He wants to get back into society.

Director Lilith Kugler tells the story of his life together with Chris, always accompanying him at eye level without exposing him or putting him on display. She also shows what a supportive neighborhood can look like. In impressive images, it is above all the empathy of the people and Chris' own perseverance that repeatedly shed light on the darkness.

Chris and Alex have made their way back and house numbers 77 and 68 have been created from house number zero. More about this in the subsequent film discussion.
