Ceremonial handover of the LOGBUCH DER ZWISCHENZEIT to the Historical Archive of the City of Cologne.
Where are we in the healing process 16 years after the collapse of the Historical Archive? What does the Waidmarkt mean for different generations? Are we still mourning? What are we waiting for? Everything that visitors record and leave behind in the pavilion will be included in the "Logbook of the interim period 2009-2025" as a document of reflection and artistic testimony.
During the finissage, the original portrait drawings by Marja Zomer will also be handed over to the people portrayed in the Panorama Pavilion.
Panorama Pavilion at the site of the archive collapse
Commissioned by the City of Cologne
Andre Dekker from the artist group Observatorium and his team will be in the pavilion until June 29 so that the people of Cologne can write, draw or tell their stories for the LOGBUCH DER ZWISCHENZEIT. The Rotterdam-based group Observatorium has realized numerous works of art in public spaces throughout Europe.
In a temporary archive, they document how the collapse of the archives at Waidmarkt has influenced the attitude to life of the people of Cologne to this day. The collected documents will be inventoried and handed over to the Historical Archive of the City of Cologne as a legacy.
Opening hours: from 06.05. to 29.06., 12-18 h, daily except Mondays
