FISHING IN GREEN, LIVING IN YELLOW

FILMMUSEUM DÜSSELDORF, BLACK BOX

A short film program as part of the exhibition Fishing in Green, Living in Yellow, curated by the artists Liza Dieckwisch, Jungwoon Kim and Mirjam Pajakowski and realized in cooperation with the archive of the Filmmuseum, the Hans Hass Archive, sixpackfilm and Light Cone. In the foyer of the Film Museum, selected works by the artists as well as some objects by the Austrian marine researcher Hans Hass, kindly made available by Aquazoo Düsseldorf, will be presented.

The artists take us on a magical visual journey through experimental film - from 1931 to the present day. Humorous, critical, sometimes overwhelmingly beautiful, sometimes disturbing, the selected short films explore nature in all its relentless splendor while questioning our complex relationship with it.
