Fledermausfest & Batnight im Englischen Garten

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

Calling all bat fans: On Saturday, August 29, the LBV (State Association for Bird and Nature Conservation) is celebrating Munich’s bats—and everyone is invited to join the celebration! Over 10 different bat species can be found right here in our city, including the pipistrelle, the Daubenton’s bat, and the lesser noctule—which is critically endangered throughout Bavaria. So come join us and experience these fascinating flying creatures up close.

3:00–6:00 p.m.: BAT FESTIVAL AT RUMFORDSCHLÖSSL for all ages
Near the Chinese Tower, there will be a bat-themed festival featuring games, arts and crafts, exciting facts, and treats. You can also admire a real bat from the LBV Bat Rescue Center. Free admission is available, and we welcome donations.

7:15–8:45 p.m.: BAT TOUR
Meeting point: Chinese Tower bus stop (Bus 54 toward Lorettoplatz)
Join LBV bat experts to observe the bats in the English Garden and learn more about the only mammals that fly at night. We’ll watch the “bats” on their high-speed hunting flights and capture their ultrasonic calls with a detector. The tour is free of charge; no registration is required. We greatly appreciate donations to help protect and rescue Munich’s bats.
