Practices of solidarity and togetherness have a hard time in our present day - they are often opposed by profit interests, identitarian thinking and imperial striving for power. Jascha Sommer, co-director and curator of the Common Struggles series, has therefore set out in search of artistic works that focus on radical utopias of togetherness, practices of care or the struggle for shared public spaces and involve the audience as active participants. How do we manage to listen to each other, learn from each other and argue carefully with each other? Jascha presents his thematic series "Zeitgenossenschaft - Common struggles" - and is tempted by the artists from the ZOO collective to engage in a very tangible struggle on stage.
