Four Imaginary Boys - The Cure Tribute Band

Four Imaginary Boys—Germany’s most sought-after and Europe’s most frequently booked The Cure tribute band—consists of four musicians who pour their hearts into their craft; since 2006, they have been passionately dedicated to The Cure’s entire body of work and pay homage to the spirit of the legendary New Wave gods.
When you think of The Cure, you think of Robert Smith’s unmistakable and inimitable voice. Imitation—or even parody—is out of the question, so it’s a good thing that the frontman of the Four Imaginary Boys seems to be a vocal kindred spirit. That said, the Four Imaginary Boys aren’t interested in simply being clones of their heroes. What’s far more important to them is creating the unique atmosphere of The Cure’s songs with ethereal sounds and soundscapes and conveying it to the audience. Thus, the real stars of the evening are the timeless songs of The Cure, which have shaped generations of gothic, alternative, and pop bands to this day.
Last year, the Four Imaginary Boys collaborated with the Germany-wide music magazine *Sonic Seducer*, which resulted in a tribute CD released to mark the anniversaries of two The Cure albums (“*Pornography*” and “Wish”), which was distributed to all buyers and subscribers of Sonic Seducer. This issue also featured an interview and a full list of concert dates. All concert dates are still listed on the Sonic Seducer website.
