It’s not the exception but the rule that the people behind Berlin’s DIY concert scene are musically active themselves.
The concert series Frictive Frequencies is now shining a spotlight on some of these cultural activists. Over the years, they have all developed remarkable forms of expression as artists. Frictive Frequencies highlights the artistic side of the organizers, thereby giving something back to this scene. The series sees itself as a forum for improvised music and a space for communication and exchange about DIY practices.
