Fulu Miziki

The up-and-coming "Afrofuturist" collective, which makes its instruments out of garbage, has amazed the world with its innovative industrial soukous-inspired punk and electronic music! Fulu Miziki roughly translates to "music made from trash," which is an apt description of the exciting chaotic Eco-Friendly Afro-Futuristic punk collective that comes straight from a future where humans have reconciled with Mother Earth and with themselves. This multidisciplinary artist collective is based in the heart of Africa, in the Congolese capital of Kinshasa. For several years, the members have been engaged in the conception of an orchestra made of found objects from the garbage, constantly changing instruments and always in search of new sounds. Making their own instruments, costumes and masks is an essential part of Fulu Miziki's core musical ideology. Their unique sound supports a pan-African message of artistic liberation, peace, and a serious look at the ecological situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and around the world. For Fulu, everything can be reclaimed and revitalized. Since 2020, Fulu has taken European music festivals by storm, playing at numerous music events, festivals and workshops with young people.
