In many debates, we hear that sustainable transformation fails primarily because of money. But how is money actually created? Who decides how it comes into circulation - and what role does the monetary system play in social and ecological challenges?

In this workshop, we will provide a basic understanding of the monetary system and show how this knowledge can be passed on in lessons and educational work. The focus is on an interactive money game that makes it possible to experience how different monetary systems work.

Our understanding of money has a decisive influence on how we think about the economy, the state and sustainability. Anyone who understands how money is created and distributed recognizes that money is not just a means of payment - it is also a means of shaping society.
