Music, food and games: while these three terms have been used to describe the central content of the gamescom city festival for years, this year's festival offering once again goes far beyond this. One hotspot is the music and exhibition program, which stretches from Rudolfplatz across Hohenzollernring to Friesenplatz. Another can be found on the right bank of the Rhine, on Picassoplatz opposite the Tanzbrunnen. This is aimed primarily at young families. prime entertainment has been organizing the gamescom city festival together with MediaKulturKöln since 2009. The festival is part of the official supporting program of gamescom, Europe's largest visitor trade fair, and is staged in Cologne's city centre on behalf of Kölnmesse and the City of Cologne. Every year, a culturally sophisticated popular music program is offered here between Friesenplatz and Rudolfplatz for all visitors to the trade fair as well as for all Cologne residents.
